Translation Invoice Template
A translator invoice with word counts, proofreading and certification already filled in. Edit it and download the PDF.
The example below is only a starting point: change any line, or choose Clear in the More menu to start from a blank form.
For real transactions only. Creating false or misleading documents is illegal and prohibited by our Terms.
Translators usually bill per word (of the source or target text), per page for certified documents, or per hour for proofreading and post-editing. Show the language pair and the word count so the client can check the price.
Rush jobs and certified or sworn translations usually carry a surcharge: give them their own line.
What to put on a Translation Invoice

- Word or page count. And whether it is the source or target count.

Questions about the Invoice Generator
How do I bill per word?
Enter the number of words as the quantity and your price per word (for example 0.09) as the unit price.
Can the invoice be in the client’s language?
Yes. Choose the document language in Design: the invoice is printed in that language while you work in yours.
Should I show the project reference?
Yes. Agencies need their project or PO number on the invoice; add it in “PO number”.
