What is a Price List?

A price list shows customers what you sell and what it costs: products or services grouped by category, with a reference, a unit and a price. Shops, restaurants, wholesalers and tradespeople share it as a PDF or print it.

This free price list maker lets you list products or services with a reference, a unit and a price, group them under category headings and download a clean price list PDF with your logo. It also works as a menu price list, a rate card or a wholesale price sheet.

What to include in a price list

  • Your business name and logo. Customers keep price lists; your name, address and contact details tell them where to order.
  • Categories. Group items under headings (coffee, pastries; labour, materials) so customers find what they need.
  • Reference, description and unit. A short code and a clear description avoid mistakes when customers order; the unit says what the price covers.
  • Prices in one currency. State whether prices include tax, especially for business customers.
  • Date and validity. Prices change: a date and a “valid until” date avoid disputes over old lists.

How to make a price list

  1. Enter your business name, address and logo in "Your business". Save them as your default and they will be filled in next time.
  2. Add the other party's details and the document number and dates. Numbers increase automatically.
  3. List the items. Quantities, prices, taxes and totals update in the preview as you type.
  4. Pick a template, colour and document language, then click "Download PDF" or "Print".

Common price list mistakes

  • Mixing prices with and without tax without saying which is which.
  • No date on the list, so old versions keep circulating.
  • Long lists without categories: customers give up before they find the item.

Questions about the Price List Generator

How do I add a category heading?

Add a line with a description only and leave the reference, unit and price empty. It becomes a heading across the table.

Can I turn the price list into a quote?

Yes. Use “Convert to” and choose Quote: every item and price is copied into a new quote, where you can set quantities.

Can I show prices including tax?

Yes. Type the prices as you want customers to see them and add a note such as “Prices include VAT” in Notes.

Is the Price List Generator free?

Yes, completely. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many documents you create.

Is my data safe?

The document is built entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our servers; drafts are kept only on your device.

Can I edit a document after downloading it?

Yes. Click "Save" and the document appears on the My documents page, where you can open, duplicate or delete it.

Can I change the currency and tax name?

Yes. Choose from more than 150 currencies and rename the tax line to VAT, GST, TVA, IVA or anything else.
