What is a Bill of Sale?

A bill of sale proves that ownership of an item (a car, a boat, equipment or furniture) passed from seller to buyer for an agreed price. Both parties sign it.

What to include on a bill of sale

  • “As is” statement if applicable. Whether the item is sold with or without any warranty.
