What is a Rent Receipt?
A rent receipt is given by a landlord to a tenant as proof that rent was paid for a given property and period. Tenants often need it for tax relief, allowances or disputes.

What to include on a rent receipt
- Landlord and tenant names. As written on the lease.
- Property address. The rented property the payment relates to.

- Date and receipt number. When payment was received.
- Landlord’s signature. Many tenants need a signed receipt for official use.
How to write a rent receipt
