A roofing estimate starts with the roof area and the work needed: removal of the old covering, repairs to the structure, new materials, flashing and gutters, and waste disposal. Photos of the damage help the client and the insurer understand the price.

Weather and hidden damage can change the final cost; say how such extras will be handled.

What to put on a Roofing Estimate

  • Roof area. In m² or squares, with the type of roof.
  • Tear-off and disposal. Removal of the old covering and waste.
  • Materials. Tiles, shingles or sheets, underlay, battens.
  • Flashing and gutters. If included.
  • Photos and conditions. Photos of the roof, and how hidden damage is billed.
