An Indian salary slip lists the earnings (Basic, House Rent Allowance, special or conveyance allowance, bonus) and the deductions: the employee’s Provident Fund contribution of 12% of basic wages, professional tax (set by each state, often ₹200 a month) and income tax deducted at source (TDS).
In the example, EPF is 12% of ₹30,000 = ₹3,600. With an annual income of ₹6 lakh, no TDS is deducted under the new tax regime, because the rebate covers taxable income up to ₹12 lakh. Enter a base and a rate on any line and the deduction is calculated for you.

Questions about the Payslip Generator
How much PF is deducted from salary?
The employee contributes 12% of basic wages (plus dearness allowance) to EPF, and the employer contributes the same. Many employers cap the base at ₹15,000, which gives ₹1,800 a month.
Is professional tax the same in every state?
No. Each state sets its own slabs, and some states have none. ₹200 a month is common in states such as Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Can I download the salary slip in Excel?
Yes. The Excel file keeps the formulas, so the totals update when you change a figure.
